The Hones run for MTCC Children's Centre in Malawi

We survived the British 10k London Run last year, just, so are back again in 2012 to smash our times and fundraising!!!

As you all know the MTCC Children's Centre in Malawi is a huge part of my life now and has a special place in my heart. The immense poverty of the township of Chilomoni is heartbreaking and, despite all the smiles, life is extremely hard there for everyone but especially the children.

MTCC Children's Centre is a hub of excellent early years education which provides local children with incredible opportunities and, arguably more important, three decent meals a day. It is a safe haven for children from birth to six years old to grow, learn, play, explore, develop and have fun.

Just a few pounds pays for a child's uniform and a huge smile on their face in return!! A few hundred pounds pays for a child's place at the centre for a year. And that's A LOT of smiles!!!
