Syeda - FSI Challenge

Syeda - South Yorkshire Eating Disorders Association is a user-led charity supporting people affected by eating disorders. Support groups and various therapies are available for all sufferers of eating disorders and their carers/supporters. Syeda provides counselling for those people with mild to moderate eating disorders in a safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment. Early treatment is not often available through the NHS, yet research has shown that the sooner a person acknowledges their illness, that early intervention is more successful.
Eating disorders can be fatal, anorexia nervosa has the highest death rate (20%) of any mental illness.
Tragically we know this personally, as our bright and beautiful daughter, Stephanie, died aged just 22yrs old, as a result of anorexia.
We dedicate the Challenge to Stephanie, as it occurs around the time of her anniversary.
