My story

So here goes, me and Holly have decided to take on a little challenge, we will be running the Manchester Half Marathon on Sunday 13th October in order to raise money for the Ricky Casey Trust.

About the charity…

Rick was a black 48-year-old, fit and healthy guy. He served for more than 16 years as a fire-fighter at Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service. In March 2018 he started to get a dull ache in his left testicle. By August of that year Ricky was diagnosed with RMC. With little research into treatments, options were limited and unfortunately he lost his battle in May 2019.

The Ricky Casey Trust seeks to advance the knowledge, education and research into rare cancers in the UK, particularly but not exclusively the Renal Medullary Carcinoma (RMC) subtype. The charity aims to raise funds to improve awareness amongst the general public and healthcare professionals treating renal cancers in the UK, fund vital research and provide equipment and treatment to help relieve sickness and preserve the health of people suffering from RMC and other rare renal cancers.

We would really appreciate any donations, no matter how small will go a long way to making a difference.

Thank you for your support🧡
