My story
Everyone who knows me knows cricket is and always has been a huge part of my life and I believe anyone and everyone who wants to be involved in cricket should be able to. It is truly a sport which can change peoples lives in a positive way.
However, cricket has often been seen as a sport with huge barriers to entry in terms of access, expense and inclusion - this is where the Lords Taverners come in.
The Lords Taverners or 'Tavs' exist to empower and positively impact the lives of young people facing the challenges of inequality, with the vision of every young person being able to overcome the challenges of inequality and achieve their potential. Their mission is to deliver high quality cricket programmes that will empower young people facing inequality to make positive choices, improve their health and wellbeing and achieve positive outcomes.
They run numerous programmes to help young people get into cricket, such as Super 1's (for people with disabilities), Wicketz (for people living in disadvantaged communities) and Table Cricket (an adapted version of the game for people with disabilities).
I have a target of raising £2250 for the Lords Taverners to run in the 2025 London Marathon, so any support for this charity which is extremely close to my heart is much appreciated!
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto The Lord's Taverners.
