JPP Yorkshire 3 Peak Challenge
Event date: 8th June 2024
Gerald Mensah is raising money for Willen Hospice and Penny Brohn UK
My story
On Saturday 8th June this year, along with many of my colleagues from JPP, I will be undertaking the Yorkshire 3 Peak Challenge. The challenge will consist of summitting Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough for a total of 26 miles around the Yorkshire Dales and all in under 12 hours. We have decided to take on this challenge after our colleague Tom lost a close friend of his to breast cancer back in June last year. His friend Jasmin was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019 at the age of 30. Following numerous rounds of treatment, Jasmin was later diagnosed with secondary cancer (stage 4) in 2021 and despite further treatment, passed away on June 16th 2023 a month before her Wedding day. Penny Brohn UK supported Jasmin throughout her 4 years of living with cancer and Willen Hospice offered their support in her final 6 months. As such, these donations will be collectively supporting the two amazing charities that are Willen Hospice and Penny Brohn UK. All donations will be split evenly. Any and all donations welcome and much appreciated, thank you for your support.
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Willen Hospice and Penny Brohn UK.
