Our story
Julie & Ian are walking the last 100km of the Portuguese Camino de Santiago next March to share in raising funds for two highly creative projects supporting the rising number of people affected by homelessness in Sheffield:
The Archer Project, which provides a wide range of direct services (and advice) to the growing number of homeless people in the city, and
The Choir with No Name, which gives people affected by homelessness and isolationthe opportunity to meet each week to sing, socialise and share food together each week.
We're both keen walkers and have long said that we'd love to walk the Camino (or at least part of it!) one day, so when we heard about this year's challenge to support two such vital projects it's given us the nudge we needed.
We have 2 targets: one is to complete something like 170,000 steps in 5 days, but more importantly we aim to raise £2,000 or more for these two excellent causes. We’d be very grateful for your support to help meet both.
Thank you for checking out our page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto The Archer Project and The Choir with No Name.
