My story
Here I go again!
As many of you know, my cycling journey began back in September 2024. What started as evening rides around Henley, Wythall and Knowle with the Birmingham Irish Cycling Appeal (BICA) quickly grew into a real passion. I spent countless hours training along Birmingham’s canal network and the surrounding countryside.
As my love for two wheels grew, I took the plunge: a new bike, proper lycra, and even cleats — which required a fair amount of practice and a few humbling moments. But the effort has paid off. My fitness has improved dramatically, and I’ve found myself taking on bigger and bolder challenges, including the Night Ride London 2025, the Inisherin 100 Mile, the Birdlip Training Weekend, and several other sportifs across the UK and Ireland.
Last July, I tackled my biggest challenge yet: a 600‑mile cycle along Ireland’s East Coast. Over seven days, our group rode from the Giant’s Causeway all the way to Cork, passing through some of the most iconic landscapes on the island.
I am now ready for my new challenge: a 565‑mile cycle from Mizen Head to Malin Head, travelling the full length of Ireland's West Coast from its southernmost point to its northernmost tip. The experience will be nothing short of incredible. The climbs, the coastal winds, the long days in the saddle and the ever‑changing Irish weather will push me to my limits — but the scenery, the camaraderie and the sense of purpose will carry me through every mile. It’s will be a journey I am sure will never forget.
This year, I am raising money for Enterprise Sailing, a charity that uses the power of sailing on the Norfolk Broads, teamwork and adventure to support young people facing significant challenges. Their programmes help build confidence, resilience and life skills for those who need a positive direction and a chance to thrive. After volunteering myself, I have seen first hand the impact they make is real, lasting and deeply inspiring.
Every donation — big or small — will help Enterprise Sailing continue offering transformative experiences to young people who deserve the opportunity to grow and succeed.
Thank you to everyone who will be supporting Your encouragement means more than you know, and together we can help Enterprise Sailing change even more lives.
