My story

It's time for the big one, I'm going to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa at 5895 metres (19340 feet). This time there are no engines or wheels involved, just a pair of old legs to drag me to the top!
I'll be raising money for two charities that are very important in our lives, the Down's Syndrome Association and Young  Lives vs Cancer. It's been a while since I raised money for these charities but now their funds are tighter than ever and they need help to carry on the great work that they do.
When Alfie was diagnosed with Down's syndrome at 10 days old the DSA were there for us with information and reassurance. They are there to support and walk along life's journey with both old and young people living with Down's Syndrome. For more information please follow this link:  downs-syndrome.org.uk/
in February 2020 our world was turned upside down when Alfie was diagnosed with Leukaemia. Young Lives vs Cancer gave us incredible support at that very difficult time made even more tricky as the world ground to a halt with Covid. After 2 years treatment Alfie has made a complete recovery but of course the battle against cancer goes on. For more information about the great work that YLvsC do please follow this link: downs-syndrome.org.uk/
