Laura Priestnall is raising money for Assert (B&H)
On Saturday 29th March, I will be taking part in an event called The Major Series to raise money for ASSERT. The Major Series is a tough but fun 10-12km obstacle race designed by British Armed Forces personnel.
Managed by British Military Fitness (britmilfit.com), The Major Series is a challenging 10 - 12km course. Designed around mud, hills, obstacles, ditches and water, The Major has posted his troops around the course to encourage and push me hard!
I will be climbing through Private Talbot's Trench. skidding down Corporal Sander's Slide, tackling Lieutenant Hardy's Hills and wading through Sergeant Mallory's Mud Pit. My trainers will never look the same again, and I am likely to be in severe pain for several days (weeks?!) afterwards!
I have been going to British Military Fitness classes for a number of years, so am familiar with getting muddy and messy in the name of fitness.
This seems like an ideal opportunity to fundraise for ASSERT, so if you can spare anything to motivate me along the race, please donate here if you can. After the race, I will share some photos of me in my muddy glory to show how it went!
Thank you :)
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Assert (B&H).
