Thank you for my hair !

I say thank you for my hair every day !
Our hair is very important to us. It is part of us. It is our appearance and it is how we recognise ourselves. When we have a radical change then it impacts our feelings and wellbeing.
When I lost my hair from chemotherapy I thought I was ok with it, but it hit me hard when the last bit was shaved off. It was not me in the mirror, It was someone else ! Many clients at the Cancer Support Centre go through this experience at a time when they are feeling especially low and are coping with all the other things associated with having cancer.
I didn't need a hairdresser then. That was three years ago.
My hair is back - I have now missed two appointments at the fabulous Sixth Sense salon - and my hair is getting longer and I cannot go to the hairdresser. The Cancer Support Centre was a lifeline to me at that point in time and I want to support them now. I want to contribute that money I have saved to the Centre to help them in supporting anyone else who needs support. My appointments usually cost £49 which actually equates very roughly to the actual cost to the Centre of one 1:1 therapy session that the clients receive. I would love to raise enough for 10 therapy sessions.
I thought there may be a few others who would like to do the same......
