Lucie’s revenge on the London 2 Brighton Challenge

Here we are again, only a few months after saying I would never do that again, I have decided to make a second attempt at the London 2 Brighton 100km Ultra challenge in May 2022.

I took part in the London 2 Brighton challenge last year and managed to walk 81 km. I am very proud of this accomplishment, it was extremely rewarding on so many levels.
That said, next year, I intend to finish the race and walk the full 100km. I am trying to learn from the mistakes I made last year and I am so excited to see if I will make it to the end this time.

It is always such a struggle to choose a charity, but it made sense to me to fundraise for SARI (Stand Against Racism & Inequality) this time around. I sadly do not know many people who haven't been a victim of a hate crime or discrimination ... It happens every single day to way too many people, in 2022 this is simply not acceptable.

Everyone has the right to live without fear or hate. Not only do this Charity stands against racism but they also fight any kind of discrimination and inequality.

A hate crime can be verbal abuse, intimidation, threats, harassment, assault and damage to property. SARI provides support for victims, witnesses and friends who experience or have experienced hate crimes. They also work to build a greater understanding and respect of diversity and inclusion in our communities.

I will walk 100km from London to Brighton for SARI on 28th May 2022. Please feel free to reach out to me if you want to go for a walk or go hiking with me as I am currently training as much as I can for this event.
