My story
This month I have joined the teams at Lions clubs across London to raise awareness and funds for Childhood Eye Cancer. All participants have agreed to walk 5K steps everyday to help raise money and support for this vital cause. Please support us.

Childhood eye cancer, notably retinoblastoma, is a rare but serious condition that primarily affects young children, typically under the age of five. In the UK, approximately 40 to 50 new cases are diagnosed each year, which equates to about 1 in every 15,000 to 20,000 births. This low incidence rate highlights the rarity of the disease, yet the profound impact on affected families cannot be overstated. Early detection is essential for successful treatment, and awareness of the symptoms can lead to timely intervention. Support services and specialised care are crucial for both the children and their families as they navigate the challenges of diagnosis and treatment.
