Bradford City Football Club AFC is raising money for Leeds Hospitals Charity and The Darby Rimmer MND Foundation
March of the Day III is a 340 mile around 44 football and rugby league grounds on June 1-6, 2026. Our aim is to raise funds in the battle against Motor Neurone Disease in memory of Chris Rimmer and Rob Burrow and in support of Stephen Darby, Marcus Stewart and all those in the UK facing the battle with MND. Money raised here will be split equally by the two charities.
This page supports the staff, former players and supporters who are taking part in March of the Day 3 and other fundraising events - including Paula Watson, our Director of Operations who is walking part 2 of the event. The second part of the event starts at Stockport County and very quickly crosses the Pennines to Yorkshire calling at Bradford City where Stephen Darby’s pictures still adorn our corridors. The route mixes football and rugby league grounds going as far north as Keighley Cougars and as far south as Sheffield Wednesday and United. It finishes appropriately where Rob Burrow grew up heading to Headingley where he played for so many years with Leeds Rhinos. The final stage is a five mile walk to the Rob Burrow Centre at the Seacroft Hospital.
