Geoff Soul is raising money for Sue Ryder and Epilepsy Society
During my mayoral year I am raising funds for two very special charities: Sue Ryder and the Epilepsy Society. Sue Ryder provides vital care and support for people living with terminal illnesses and neurological conditions, as well as their carers and family, and those coping with bereavement.
The Epilepsy Society works to transform the lives of those with epilepsy through research, care and support. Epilepsy comes in many forms ranging from mild to severe and life-threatening. In comparison with many charities supporting those with other conditions it struggles to raise much-needed funds.
My three-year-old grandson has Dravet's Syndrome: a severe form of epilepsy caused by genetic mutation. He suffers many seizures, often needing hospital treatment. The condition also restricts his development and impacts on every part of his and his family's life. He can never be more than 30 minutes from a hospital.
I will be organising a number of events in support of the campaign throughout the year but donations of any amount can be made though this site at any time and will be highly appreciated. Thank you.
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Sue Ryder and Epilepsy Society.

Thanks to the generosity of guests at the Wem Civic Celebration, we've now passed £700. Hoge thanks to everyone, but there's a long way to go. Please share if you can!
