Mid Cheshire Hospital Respiratory Team running Chester half marathon for the MCHFT end of life appeal.
Mid Cheshire Hospital Respiratory team are raising money for Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charitable Fund
Our story
Four Members of the Respiratory team: Chris, Duncan, Liz and Tracey will run the Chester Half Marathon on 19th of May 2024.
Two Respiratory consultants a Physio and an ACP will hopefully complete the 13 miles to raise money for the end of life appeal at Leighton Hospital.
We all have years experience within respiratory medicine and working with patients at the end of their lives is something we are frequently involved in, we feel that supporting this appeal will enhance the experiences of the patients and relatives that we meet not only within the area of Respiratory but for all that are cared for at MCHFT.
Our confidence lies in the the care that we provide for the patients that we meet within Respiratory medicine, not in our ability to run half Marathons. The running experience within our team is varied...

Only a few days left! If you've not already contributed please try and donate a little!
We've been getting up early and running after work to try and prepare our legs for this.
We've heard that a bed for relatives to spend the night alongside their loved ones who are nearing the end of their life will cost around £1500.
We'd love to be able to try and raise enough from doing this to provide the relatives of our patients with the opportunity to remain comfortably at their relatives bedside.
