Georgie - Miles to Make a Difference

This year, I’m proud to be running the London Marathon for the Lord’s Taverners.

My has dad worked with them for many years, so I’ve seen the incredible impact they have: using the power of cricket and other sports to break down barriers, empower young people with disabilities and from disadvantaged backgrounds, and help them build the skills, confidence and resilience they need to thrive.

Sport has the power to change lives.
Just five years ago, I struggled to run 1km. Since then, running has become a lifeline for my mental health; a source of strength, resilience, and pride.

I’ve ran London once before, but I didn’t get the experience I had hoped for. This time, I’m running with fresh purpose: to embrace every step, celebrate how far I’ve come, and raise money so more young people get the chance to play, belong and thrive.

• £100 could allow seven young people to attend life-changing sessions for a month, completely free.
• £50 could cover venue hire for a week and give one participant access to inclusive cricket for a month.
• £15 could enable a young person to join inclusive cricket programmes for a whole month.
