Millie’s Miles for Thrombosis UK

I was diagnosed with a massive DVT nearly 10 years ago; stretching from ankle to lower back after a 20 minute operation to repair my knee cartilage. After many tests, all of which came back negative, I'm none the wiser why I got this. Being a very sporty person all my life it kills me that I can no longer play the sport I love, hockey due to the damage to my valves, veins & leg. Also having to take blood thinners for the rest of my life to prevent blood pooling in my damaged leg and not clotting again!
Please help me and my Millie walk more than 9km in August for #wagathonTUK , as you know we hike/walk quite a lot so I’m hoping to make this a 90km challenge to raise funds for a charity that has helped and supported me and making everyone aware just how easy it is to get a blood clot, what you can do to prevent them and spotting early signs so they don't become extensive like mine and many others.
