My story

On June 1-6, 2026, the rugby league community joins force with football through the March of the Day III event, a 350 mile walk from Liverpool to Leeds visiting 47 stadia across both sports. The event is in support of the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation, a charity set up by former footballer Stephen Darby, and the Leeds Hospitals Charity, who built and maintain Rob Burrow Centre. Rob as a legend in our sport. While Newcastle is not on the route, we want to show our support by raising enough money to be a stage sponsor.

All funds donated will be used by the two charities in the fight against Motor Neurone Disease, a life limiting disease with no known cure. Any help our supporters can give is hugely appreciated. If we reach the level required, all those taking part will wear the name of the club on their back as a sponsor.

Full details of the event can be found at redwoodevents.co.uk/march-of-the-day-3/
