Niall Hogan is raising money for England Amputee Football Association
In October the England Amputee Football Association will be travelling to Turkey for the World Cup.
To raise funds, I am challenging myself to cycle virtually from Leeds to Istanbul to “arrive” in time for the World Cup in October, this is a total of 3,347km.
I have volunteered with the medical team for about 3.5 years. As a Sports Rehabilitator I assist the team in keeping them fit and prepared physically for each game, treating injuries when they occur and keeping the players on the pitch. I love every minute of working with the team and staff and supporting them in every way I can to help them become the best amputee football team. We are one big family, and everyone is there for each other. They have definitely been there for me.
All costs of getting the team and the support staff to international fixtures, training sessions etc is entirely funded by charitable donations. We rely on the kind generosity of our amazing supporters / sponsors to make these opportunities a reality.
Any support you could give will help the team and staff volunteers reach Turkey to represent the country and bring home the trophy.
If you are a UK taxpayer, please tick Gift Aid so the charity receives extra money at no extra expense to you. Thank you.
I will be posting updates on how my “journey” is progressing and where on my route I am.
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto England Amputee Football Association.
