Nic's Kessock Ferry Swim

Open Water swimming has become increasingly popular in the last few years but it is not a new hobby. Folk have been stripping off and getting in the water around the coast, in lochs, lakes and rivers throughout recorded human history. Swimming across the Beauly Firth predates the Kessock bridge and after 50 years since the last organised 'ferry swim' group event it is planned to take place again this year.
And I've signed up to join in!
As well as paying tribute to all of those swimmers who have swum across the route before the event will be raising money for local Inverness outdoor activities and the nature reserve - all very worthy causes.
