Event date: 29th September 2013
My story
STOP PRESS:
I was previously intending to run the Loch Ness Marathon for this great cause but injury has precluded me from completing the necessary training. I am however up and running again, so to speak, and have entered for the 10K race on the same day.
I am so sorry to disappoint those who have already pledged their support. I hope you guys understand and would be happy to support my 10K endeavour. I will email you all directly about it.

We all know that border terriers rock. With teddy bear looks and loving hearts, they are a joy to share your life with. Unfortunately there are some out there who do not appreciate that it is a privilege to be owned by a border terrier and do not treat them as they should be treated. There are also some who, sadly, can no longer take care of their special furend and require assistance to find them a new loving home. In both of these circumstances, Border Terrier Welfare are there to help.
Border Terrier Welfare (BTW) do great work in helping borders in need find loving forever homes. They work tirelessly across Britain 24/7 to make sure that borders get the care and love they deserve. I look at Bonnie, my border terrier, as she snoozes curled up in a wee ball on the couch beside me and I wonder how anyone could ever mistreat such a loving soul. But unfortunately they do and for that reason when I decided to run the Loch Ness Marathon 2013, I couldn't think of a better charity to which to dedicate my efforts.
Injury has however precluded me from competing in the marathon and I will be running the 10K instead. I hope you guys can get behind me and help me raise some much needed funds for this great charity. Doing it for the Borders!
