Behind Closed Doors

We are a domestic abuse support organistaion, providing outreach support to women experiencing or who have experienced domestic abuse.
We have trained staff and volunteers who can offer a free and confidential service to any woman who is experiencing or has experienced domestic abuse.
The support is local and offered to any woman living in and around LS3, LS4, LS6, LS7, LS11, LS12, LS13, LS16, LS17, LS18, LS19, LS20, LS21, LS28, LS29, BD4, BD10

WE CAN:
Listen & provide emotional support in confidence.
Offer support & information over the phone or face to face.
Provide support & information on housing, health and welfare rights.
Provide support, information and accompany to civil and criminal proceedings.
Refer women & children to refuges across the country & temporary emergency accommodation.
Support women to obtain appropriate services,including police.
Put women in touch with other support agencies that can offer specialist help & advice.
Accompany women to appointments e.g. With solicitors, police, housing agencies.
You do not have to be hit or injured to suffer domestic abuse—other forms of abuse can be just as devastating.
