Not a penny more - I've got 5 Tough Mudders to sponsor!

Tough Mudder

Event date: 14th July 2012

Paul Lilburn is raising money for Scottish Women's Aid

My story

Hi everyone

As you most of you already know I am attempting Tough Mudder, Scotland with some unlikely candidates. Unfortunately on the 14th of July I don?t have anything better on, so I will be rolling about in sand, water, fire and (of course) mud with a dwarf sized American (aka Smiff), Georgios Samaras (aka Morton) and Mr Richard O?Brien (aka the Bald Eagle).

As this day is going to be quite the struggle I will need some sort of incentive to see it through. The best reason I could come up with was??. money, not the best, but hopefully I can raise some cash for charity as I endeavour to carry the 3 stooges over the line. Check out what tough mudder entails at toughmudder.com

Many of you may already know that I support two charities namely Scottish Women?s Aid and MSF. Scottish Women?s Aid help female victims of domestic abuse get their lives back on track after being through tough life challenges. I?m sure you?ll all agree it?s important to give these women and their children all the support we can to receive refuge from on-going violence and cruelty. MSF (Medecins san frontieres ? Doctors without borders) are a French, non-government organisation who send doctors and other healthcare professionals all over the world into conflict zones or disaster stricken areas. They provide much needed healthcare and relieve to those individuals in desperate need. Their belief that all people have the right to medical care regardless of race, religion, creed or political affiliation, and that the needs of these people outweigh respect for national borders is something I?m sure we can all endorse.

Please, please, please dig deep (or even dig lightly!) and support these two vital charities and I will do my best to take Morton on an 11 mile colly back.
You can sponsor me by either sending me a quick message via facebook and ill note down what you owe and chase you for the money when I?ve accomplished my feat??I?ll obviously be ridiculously fast by then. Or you can send the charities the money directly via the web ? unfortunately as its two charities you would have to send the cash to each one individually. For MSF go to justgiving.com/Paul-Lilburn and for Scottish Women?s Aid go to everyclick.com/paullilburn I apologise for that hassle I couldn?t find any way of combining the two online.

Photos will of course be uploaded post mudder for proof of completion and general amusement!

Thanks in advance for your contributions and support.

Paul x
