Pembrokeshire/Mayo/Malawi Triathlon for Vibitac Medical Clinic, Malawi

Hi all,

We ( Chris and Lorna) are taking part in the Pembrokeshire/ County Mayo / Malawi Triathlon next week on Saturday the 19th March. As you would expect by the name there are four events ;

1.   Abseil off a dam 160 ft as many times as you       can in 30mins 
   

2.   Canoeing around a reservoir 3.5miles 
   

3.   Twice round the reservoir on a bike 16miles 
   

4.   Two mile run 
   

Now you might ask why are two people of fairly mature years are taking part in this event, the reason is that Chris with a group of builders from our local church went out to Malawi twice last year and helped to do the plastering, plumbing, electrics , ceilings , filtered water for a medical clinic which will serve 23,000 people who have never had primary healthcare and whose local hospital 20km away is somewhere that we and are families wouldn?t want to vist.

This event along with a Ceilidh in the evening will help to fund the completion of the building work, buy equipment and open the clinic by Easter this year .
