My story
I have been suffering from fibromyalgia since 2008, diagnosed in 2015. In my journey I have met so many people who simply didn't understand that this illness was real, let alone the impact it has in the Iives of so many people. So I became an advocate for people like me. Because who is going to stand for and represent us better than ourselves?
There is a huge number of people affected by fibromyalgia and other similar/associated illnesses in the geek community, many of which are my friends. So with their help we are running a fundraiser event that consists of a quick paint challenge where the participants paint warhammer figurines in 30 mins live on Instagram.
This way we increase awareness at the same time than breaking stigmas and building community and acceptance.
