Please Support ADAPT - Every £1 Helps
Event dates: 21st February 2009 – 28th February 2010
Rebekah Gronowski is raising money for ADAPT (All Dependent And Pre-Term babies and children)
My story
The Kensington Neonatal Unit at the Leicester Royal Infirmary is a Grade 1 Neonatal Facility which means they can care for babies born under 26 weeks gestation. This particular unit in Leicester serves several counties and is a crucial facility. We need to make sure that this one remains viable and that many others of Grade 1 status may be set up so that young Mums do not have to do 85 mile round trips to go and provide breast-milk feeds for their babies after birth. As well as thanking the Staff of this unit I want to raise awareness of the absolute necessity of having more units like it. The NHS is struggling - these Neonatal Units must be allowed to be retained and more of them provided. There should be a Grade 1 Neonatal Unit in EVERY Health Trust area - please help to raise funds to provide them
