The Work Goes On

Cricket Without Boundaries supports work on many projects all year round, through our incredible Coach Ambassadors, with their networks of local coaches, and teams of UK volunteers boost the workforce to help reach new schools or areas.
There is so much more to do, but it is only possible with your help. Volunteers pay their own way, but the projects themselves have to be funded, as does the year round help we provide the Ambassadors. I've just returned from my 8th project, returning to where it all began for me in 2017, in Uganda. We were kept busy every day, and there is such an appetite for more cricket and all the benefits it can bring to a community. I'm not planning another trip until next spring, but the work will continue in between, so my fundraising page will stay open.
CWB delivers support right where it is needed. I've seen first hand what can be achieved by using sport for good, how a team of enthusiastic strangers can work together to deliver messages which can change the lives of young people. It might be learning how to avoid disease, helping their communities become more inclusive, or discovering within themselves the self confidence and belief to realise that they can dare to dream, and work to make that dream happen. The sessions are always a lot of fun, but the more serious results are there too. From an African school child receiving life saving treatment for HIV, having been diagnosed at a CWB festival, to the Kenyan girls who discovered cricket with CWB now playing for their country, and the communities in Nepal now embracing their girls playing cricket alongside the boys.
