Running the marathon for the RNLI and Tara's Lifeboat

Event date: 22nd April 2018

JamesS is raising money for Tara's Lifeboat

My story

On December 23rd 2015 my wife Tara lost her battle with bowel cancer. By the end of 2018 I need to raise enough for a lifeboat on Lough Ree, on the Shannon, in Ireland.

Just over a year ago my oldest friend died in Canada. Alistair Blackburn had also been at school with Tara and had sung at both our wedding and at her funeral. The aim is to additionally fund kit for the crew and have Alistair Blackburn permanently linked with the lifeboat station that is to look after the Tara Scougall.

I am not built for marathon running and the training has been a challenge.... I'll be dragging myself around London and need your help!

Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Tara's Lifeboat.
