Sarb is running the Berlin Marathon for "We are Metropolitan" and Doctors In Distress
Dr Sarb Clare MBE is raising money for Your City and Metropolitan Hospitals Charity and Doctors In Distress
My story
Hi all I am running the Berlin marathon. I am raising money for 2 great charities. I will be needing all your cheers and support especially at mile 20.......
The first is Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust " We are Metropolitan" . Our new acute hospital opens in 2024 and money raised will go towards facilities for our local community - including arts and a garden area for relaxation and reflection.
The second is "Doctors n Distress" who raise awareness of mental health and suicide within health care workers. One doctor ends their life every 3 weeks. Stigma of mental health needs to be eroded and accessibility to support and help must be a priority.
