Our story
Ward 14 at Leighton belongs to the diabetic and Endocrine group. We have patients with long length of stay who require support and care during admissions. We require games, books and activities to make these stays more enjoyable and support patients with a variety of complex cognitive needs. It also allows our families to engage with their relatives and enjoy spending time together.
As a team on Tuesday 16th September we are doing a charity walk to raise fund the for MCHT charity to support our ward with these activities. We are walking Scarfell Pike, a 978 meter mountain in the Lake District, aiming to get to the summit and see some amazing views.
