Cardiff Half Marathon

Having spent the last few months in training, dragging my carcass around the streets of Cardiff, I will be running my first ever half marathon on 14th October 2012 in aid of Age Concern, Cardiff and the Vale.

Age Concern helps and supports older people, especially those who are vulnerable, isolated, and in poverty, who are resident in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

My race won't be quick, it certainly won't be pretty, but I'm hoping that my efforts can benefit an often overlooked section of society, and that I can achieve a personal goal into the bargain.

I will then give up running forever because everyone is sick of me moaning about it. And my knees/hips/ankles are about to give out on me.

Please give generously, I know times are hard but every pound I raise will be matched by my company.

PS...a half marathon is 13.1 miles. 13 MILES! That's half a marathon!
