Sophie Runs a Marathon

💛 Oh hello….. me again…..It’s been 2 years since the Ultra Challenge so I thought it was time for an even bigger challenge… so have decided to raise money for Dementia Forward and run the Yorkshire Marathon!!! (Yes really) 💛

As most know, my Nana was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s a while ago now and it’s really opened my eyes to how difficult it is for not only those with the diagnosis but their loved ones and the people who look after them. It can be so demanding, consuming and overwhelming having to look after a loved one with Dementia all whilst having to carry on with your normal life, work, still showing up for your family/friends and watching the person you love fade away, essentially into the child they once were.

I have chosen Dementia Forward as they are a smaller local charity and do so much for people living with dementia. 
I have volunteered at one of their well being coffee afternoons and seen just a snippet of the amazing work they do.

I haven’t run out in the wild for years… so cr*pping myself a bit I’m not going to lie 😬 any donation is truly appreciated it really doesn’t matter how small! 💛💚

💛 This is for all those everywhere affected by Dementia.

💛This is for my Mum and Auntie who work tirelessly to look after my Nana everyday which often goes unseen and can be a thankless task but it’s everything to our family. We love you and we are proud of you!!  💪🏽 💛
