Sponsor Karen and Support Age Concern

I will be running the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday the 16th October 2011 to raise money for a local charity that I work for - Age Concern Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan (ACCV).

ACCV is an independant, well established and trusted charity which has been providing vital products and services to older people living in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan for almost 40 years. In the year 2010-2011, they helped and supported approximately 20,000 older people to achieve a more fulfilling life. (Visit age-concern-cardiff.org.uk to find out more).

Vulnerability, isolation and poverty affect many older people to different degrees and if we are to live in a society where older people are respected and enabled to meet their aspirations then these issues must be addressed.

Please sponsor me in my endeavour to complete the Cardiff Half Marathon in a half decent time (!) and more importantly raise much needed funds for this very worthy charity.
