My story
St Albans Postboxes are back for 2021!
Our 2020 yarn bomb was a phenomenal success, raising over £26000.
This year we’re aiming for more toppers and raising even more for our chosen charities – Youth Talk and ADD-Vance.
We remind you that all the #stalbanspostboxes toppers have been made with love, imagination and possibly some swearing, and at no cost, by volunteers. Business sponsors have been identified and generously gave their money, and prizes! Admin, emails, phone calls, helpers, web designers and hosters, map artists, app designers, photographers, Facebookers, bloggers, Instagrammers, all donating time and expertise behind the scenes. So, whatever you do, please, please, please donate whatever you can.
We choose charities for the work that they do locally and for the wide range of people they support in and around St Albans.

Well, the toppers are down but at Postboxes HQ we are watching the donations still arriving, and we are now so close to a total of £30k, we can almost feel it....Including Gift Aid, donations are £29751.25. This page closes on 31 January - let's see what happens - as we all sit with our fingers and toes crossed!

Will we reach our target of £25k for our two charities? We really, really hope so. We are very close - now at £24,202.00. A great way for Youth Talk and ADD-Vance to start 2022.

New Year's Eve, and we have reached 95% of our fundraising target - currently the amount donated is an astonishing £23,782.00! Takedown is almost complete, what a month it has been.

The Topper Takedown is well under way and the donations are still arriving. There is now lots of work to do behind the scenes to look after the toppers and make sure that they are ready for use next year, fingers crossed! Total now stands at £23,090.00 which really is incredible.
