Swim 5k for Afghanistan!

Wow! This is my THIRD year of fundraising for Afghanistan, and it marks 3 years since the Taliban took over and our help is needed now more than ever.

For the past 2 years I have swam my furthest distance in open water - 3.8k....so why not UP THE ANTE and do 5k and in the British sea?????

This will be a massive challenge for me, never have done this far EVERRRR in the water, let alone in a choppy sea, so please please support Afghanistan and give generously.

EVENT UPDATE:

I received an email this morning (July 5th) from the organisers:

"Due to predicted high winds which will make it unsafe to go ahead. The back up date in Saturday 14th September 2024".

HOWEVER, THE SHOW MUST GO ON!

Plan B is to do the 5k swim on Sunday, but in Sealanes, the fantastic Brighton beachside open air 50m pool meaning I will rack up 100 lengths to reach 5k 😅

Please help me get to the £1000 target as I will be swimming those 5k still!
