Susannah Buckeridge is raising money for The Oswestry And Borders Foodbank
The Buckeridge family are taking on the challenge of raising vital funds for Oswestry and Borders Foodbank with a 5 mile swim across the 5 week summer holiday.
Mum, Susannah, works for the foodbank and has seen the level of need first-hand. She says, “the cost of living crisis has brought so many new individuals and families to our doors; many who never thought they would need to rely on the support of a foodbank. Families are struggling to afford the essentials and the summer holidays only compound the issue with children needing more meals at home. This is why, as a family, we have decided to raise money to ensure the
Foodbank can continue to support everyone in their time of need. Please help us by giving whatever you can- it really does make a huge difference to the lives of local people facing hardship. Thank you!”

We did it!!!
On Friday I snuck out to the pool at 6:30am to swim the last 1/4 mile needed to complete the 5 mile swimathon challenge!
What a privilege to take on a challenge to raise vital funds for the Oswestry and Borders Foodbank.

“We’re officially halfway to our target - thank you for helping us to get this far! On Saturday we completed mile Number 4 and kept going to gain another 25 lengths. That leaves us with just 39 lengths to go to complete our 5 mile swimathon!
Quick update- My daughter and I completed our first mile last week and added on an extra 10 lengths for good measure.
Yesterday (Tuesday 7th August), we swam another half mile (32 lengths). So just 22 lengths to go to complete mile number 2!
