Angeselle Haslam-Hopwood is raising money for BF Adventure
Having just completed her first Duke of Edinburgh walk at the weekend, Hannah announced that she wanted to join me to do the Bodmin Lions Ten Tor Challenge this weekend. She also managed to convince a number of her Duke of Edinburgh team to also do it, dispite cries of sore feet and achy limb recovery. Bless 'em!
Hannah and I are doing the challenge to raise vital funds for BF Adventure, a local Cornish charity that uses outdoor adventure and activities to enable young people to gain skills, confidence to raise their aspirations - all things required to build brighter futures.
BF Adventure needs ongoing financial support to run its core programmes that work with young people who are at risk of disengagement or marginalisation due to social, mental or physical challenges.
On a personal level, Hannah's brother has benefited hugely from participating in the Skills for Life and Action for Adventure Programmes designed to improve participation in outdoor adventure activities for young people with learning difficulties. He benefits from being in Nature and BF Adventure has helped him develop his understanding of his personal capabilities, danger awareness and water safety awareness, while having the opportunity to have oober fun with a specialised team of instructors who have always made him feel so welcome, have offered support and encouragement and who have enabled real friendships to develop over time.
We both would be so grateful if you can make a donation:
£100 pays for a days support for a young person in need;
£50 - a set of waterproof kit;
£40 - a safety helmet;
£30 - a specialist climbing harness;
£2 - 1m of climbing rope.
In addition, if there is a Cornish business who would benefit from supporting BF Adventure through the Corporate Social Responsibility Programme, £10,000 replaces the old leaky kitchen and classroom !!
Every penny counts.
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto BF Adventure.
