Come on Team Baguette

Team Baguette Le Mans Road Trip 2015

Event date: 9th June 2015

Stacy Cantwell is raising money for St Johns Special School Association

My story

One of the main organisers of Team Baguette has a son with Autism and he goes to St John¡¦s Special School in Bedford. They get little help from the Government so we thought we would try and raise a bit of cash for them. The money will be used to buy specialist equipment and kinaesthetic toys for the children to play with.
On return from Le Mans all 5 Jags will be making a guest appearance at the Jaguar/Land Rover site in Gaydon, Warwickshire for a bit of a press day and hopefully raise a bit more cash. ?º
The cars will all be sold and all money received from each of them will be given to the school.

Three of the five Jags have gone to St John's Special School and have been given the ok by the pupils ...... phew, all that hard work paid off! :)
Team Baguette decided that it needed to do something special for our next trip in 2015.

Discussions were based around what cars we would be taking (naturally!) which led us down the path of a tribute to Jaguar and it¡¦s 1988 win at Le Mans.
It wasn¡¦t long before we were all searching good old ebay and Autotrader to find our chariots.

Fast forwarding to March 2014¡K..
By this point we had 25 confirmed attendees for the 2015 trip to Le Mans! The biggest EVER for Team Baguette.

The first of 5 Jaguars were purchased, an XJ40 3.2 sport. The vision had started to become a reality¡K¡K.. the last 4 quickly followed.

Now, what were we going to do to these cars?????? Discussions centred around paint schemes and of course it had to be Silk Cut purple and White!

Preparations began and one weekend in a barn in Bedfordshire, 3 of the Jags were lined up ready to be painted. After hours of blood, sweat and BBQ they were almost ready¡K.
Well, we decided to turn it into a Charity run and hope that all 5 Jags return home¡K¡K..
