My story

After completing the 3 Peaks Challenge and taking part in a Santa Run, both in support of the charity DEBRA — I’m now gearing up for my toughest challenge yet.

On 7th July, I’ll be walking the entire 180-mile Thames Path, end to end, over 15 consecutive days, to raise funds and awareness for DEBRA, a charity supporting people living with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) — a rare, incredibly painful genetic skin condition.

EB is sometimes called ‘Butterfly Skin’, because the skin of those affected is as fragile as a butterfly’s wing. Simple everyday actions — walking, eating, even hugging — can cause skin to blister or tear. Many children live in constant pain, requiring daily bandaging, intensive care, and lifelong treatment. It's heartbreaking, and more people need to know about it.

DEBRA works tirelessly to support these families and fund vital research into treatments and a cure. You may have seen Graeme Souness recently take to the water to swim the Channel for DEBRA — a cause close to his heart after meeting young people with EB.

Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto DEBRA.
