The 60 -30 - 10 challenge. Celebrating Emily's Courage.

Hello & thank you for looking at this page. This year is a special year for our family with numbers ending in a '0'. I will be 60 & Emily would have been 30. However we are remembering our courageous, kind & inspirational daughter 10 years after she passed away. This is how the 60-30-10 challenge evolved as I wanted to both celebrate Emily and set myself a challenge. My 50th was shortly after loosing Emily, we had made plans together, it was a very, very difficult time. So for this '0' birthday, although I may have rather over estimated my capabilities, my intention is to cycle the Medio Dartmoor Classic (68 miles) , Swim 3km in Mount Kelly pool, & finally my least favourite activity of all, 'Run' (jog / shuffle / crawl) 10km around Burrator. I would love company on any part of this 3 day 'effort'! The money raised will be equally split between Mind the Gap Africa & Hope in Action Romania. Two charities that we are closely involved with and see first hand how the money raised is used by passionate caring people to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and adults in the most challenging of circumstances.
