Tribute Tradesmen and Lucy’s Pop Choir are raising money for Dementia Forward
Dementia not only affects the elderly, but it can also affect people as young as 45 and it has a huge effect on family, carers and loved ones. Dementia affects the brain cells and is irreversible. It can result in memory loss, confusion, problems with speech, problems understanding. This will get worse over time. It is debilitating and makes life and living increasingly difficult. It also has a major impact on family and friends who live and care for people with dementia. Dementia Forward is a local charity which helps those living with dementia and guides and supports family and carers.
The Band
The diverse mix of The Tribute Tradesmen and Lucy’s Pop Choir joined forces to bring you this musical euphony.
Andy Hayward and Richard Cole of the Tribute Tradesmen have a long history travelling the road playing in rock bands. And now concentrate on making music videos. youtube.com/@thetributetradesmen8198/videos
Lucy’s Pop Choir identify as a ‘really casual choir that sings pop songs’. They are very popular and play at venues right across Yorkshire. “We're just so pleased that by doing something we've really enjoyed, we're able to give back to the community and support an incredible charity in the process”.lucyspopchoir.co.uk
Both bands are experienced in charity fundraising and are delighted to be working together for Dementia Forward as most of them, as with most of you, have experience of family, relatives and friends who have suffered.
They have asked me, as the Mayor of Pocklington, to assist them in this and I am proud to offer them a platform to help raise donations. By visiting this page, not only will your money go directly to Dementia Forward, it will also attract Government Gift Aid if you are a tax payer, and 100% of the proceeds will go towards extending Dementia Forward’s work in the Pocklington area, by employing a named Support Advisor who families can contact for support, practical advice and information from pre diagnosis onwards.
Please support this worthy cause. Thank You.
Thank you for checking out our page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Dementia Forward.
