Chop it all off!!
Event dates: 18th February 2013 – 30th June 2013
Nambucca is raising money for The East African Missionary Society (TEAMS)
James Darn (affectionately known to us as Jimmy D) is going to shed something very close to him for a good cause - his luscious locks (I did say locks and not looks :)
Jimmy is preparing to undergo the 'big chop' to raise funds for friends Dan and Jody Unterrheiner who are serving with a charity in northern Uganda (The East African Missionary Society).
But this funky muso isn't making it easy: his target is £1500 and he has to reach the target for the mop to flop. His mighty mane is 40cm long, so for every £37.50 he raises he will chop off one centimetre.
C'mon guys let's see what's under the mop?
Dan is bringing farming and management skills to help local people in the war-torn northern Uganda, whilst Jody is teaching in a village primary school; along with teaching English to adults.
The money that you raise will go towards three projects Dan and Jodes are working with: buying some books for the village primary school Jody teaches in (which sadly does not have one fiction book!); some children's books for a reading club for orphans and building a grass hut for children to have Sunday School in at the local village TEAMS church.
