**UPDATE, 9 OCTOBER: I completed the run this morning! I made it round in an hour and thirty eight minutes, after shaking off an injury scare :)

On Sunday 9 October 2016 I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon, to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. It's a cause that's close to my heart because two of my family are affected by the condition, which is life-changing and incurable. There are some promising therapies under development, but every penny raised can help these do develop faster. And in the meantime there's a huge challenge to look after the health and wellbeing of the 100,000 people affected in the UK alone.

The MS Society funds research, gives grants, campaigns for change, provides information and support, invests in MS specialists and lends a listening ear to those who need it.

I've been training hard for the last few months, covering hundreds of miles and overcoming injuries along the way. I've never run 13.2 miles before, so this is a new challenge for me.

So please give generously and help me to raise money for a great cause.
