Victoria. Mark just shared the link to your mission. Wow! Prepare well and stay safe. And huge respect and thanks from a member of one of the 3 great charities you are supporting. π
Victoria Jeffs is raising money for Youth Adventure Trust, CoppaFeel! and Stratford Upon Avon Samaritans
Totally OARdacious is one womanβs mission to raise awareness and funds for 3 amazing charities through a unique challenge to SOLO row both the Atlantic and to circumnavigate GB. Both of these rows will be solo and I will be aiming for Guinness World Records in both events being the OLDEST SOLO FEMALE to row an OCEAN and the ONLY SOLO FEMALE to row around GB β the big question of course, is WHICH is TOUGHEST?
To put it in perspective, more people have been to SPACE than have rowed an ocean solo, to date just 25 WOMEN have SOLO rowed ANY ocean.
Rowing the Atlantic will be tough enough, likely taking somewhere between 55-105 days.
Rowing around GB will be a challenge on a whole other level, likely taking 150-200 days.
Why not join in this adventure by following me at www.totallyOARdacious.com or on social media, just search for Totally OARdacious on your chosen platform and you will find us. We aim to raise Β£300,000 to be split equally between these three charities.
Why are these charities important to me?
Having lost a mother to cancer and a father to suicide, perhaps you can understand why two of these three charities are causes very close to my heart and the excellent work they both do in the communities is extraordinary. Equally, there is a real power I have discovered from adventure and the Youth Adventure Trust are a sparkling success story in getting kids out there who otherwise may not get the chance.
Thank you SO MUCH for your support

3rd row of the day - and there concludes 75 hours of training - 21 mins to get into the boatyard, there is a knack to getting into this boatyard with an ocean row boat and today I nailed it π now all I need to do is go into the water to get the rudder out

2nd row of the day - 1hr 8 mins, under the bridges - pouring with rain, battling the winds to get into Holes Bay before the winds get stronger later today. Escaped to a mooring when it became torrential π£ββοΈπ€£ππ

6th and last row of the day and by far the most scary - rowing in the dark in open seas is great, rowing in the dark in a harbour is β¦ well letβs just say I need a cup of tea to recover πππ«£π£ββοΈ I make that about 12 hours for today. Iβm happy with that. πβ€
