Tour Transalp epic ride for WRACA

Event date: 16th June 2024

Liz King is raising money for Women's Royal Army Corps Association

My story

Many of you know I cycle a lot, but this year my epic challenge is a 7-day stage race in the Alps - Tour Transalp

This is 7 consecutive days cycling nearly 800Km, but the kicker is I will be climbing almost 17,000m over this week on some of the toughest climbs the Austrian and Italian alps have to offer.

I start in Lienz in Austria and finish at Lake Garda in Italy.

I like a challenge, but this is going to test me to the max. So for added incentive I thought I would raise funds for the Women’s Royal Army Corp Association. As a female Army Veteran myself, this charity means a lot to me.

If my cycling stage race can encourage people to support our female veterans who have served, some making the ultimate sacrifice, then I would be very grateful.

Here’s to a week of pain and exhilaration in June! 😀🚴
