United Charitable Foundation Gala Dinner

We are excited to launch our inaugural fundraising gala dinner, taking place on Wednesday 10th May 2023 at the incredible De Vere Connaught Rooms in London.

This elegant evening will feature a sparkling fizz reception, glittering black-tie 3-course dinner and entertainment from celebrity host, Keith Lemon and the world’s best cover band, Bootleg Beatles! There will also be an opportunity to bid on exclusive items in our auctions throughout the night.

The event is looking to raise funds and awareness and bring together like-minded people from across multiple sectors in aid of The Change Foundation and the Teenage Cancer Trust.

THE CHANGE FOUNDATION

Over the last 42 years, The Change Foundation has used the power of sport to change over 250,000 young lives. Helping over 400 other charities to develop their own ‘sport for social change’ programmes we have a strong ‘innovate and share’ philosophy.

Having worked in every London borough, 35 UK towns and cities, and 43 countries, our programmes, run by inspirational ‘Coach Mentors’, all of whom are graduates from our programmes have an annual success rate of over 85% with independent research showing that every £1 invested in our young people creates over £10 worth of social mobility.

Our impact targets young people involved in gangs and criminal activity, young women leaving the care system, young people with a disability progressing into adult life from special needs education and more recently, with Ukrainian refugee children overcoming trauma in Poland and the UK.

TEENAGE CANCER TRUST

Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words “you have cancer”. They will each need specialised nursing care and support to get them through it. We’re the only UK charity dedicated to meeting this vital need – so no young person faces cancer alone.

You only get one chance at being young, and those few crucial years will shape the person you become – your relationships and career, your confidence and wellbeing, and your ability to pursue your dreams. Cancer can throw all of that off track. Suddenly, your life’s been turned upside down. You’re scared, and living from one appointment to the next.

We make sure young people have someone in their corner right from the start. Our nurses and youth workers walk with young people from diagnosis through every step of their treatment, and for up to two years afterwards, so that they can recover and live life to the full.
