Jo swims solo for Heshima

Storm & I have been searching for a charity for some time.
I have just come back from Tanzania where myself, the staff and the students worked on an educational project called Heshima (respect in Swahili). The project started off initially in Kenya but was effectively destroyed by the Kenyan elections. Steve Ngugi and Alison Rogers, the co-founders, then relocated to Tanzania after losing everything and started again. We worked with women and children from the Maasai who want educational opportunities for their community. It was a wonderful experience and whatever funds I raise I know Steve will be able to put to good use especially as there is no middle man.
I will do the Dart 10k with one support kayak and hopefully break 2 and a half hours.
