Ali Walker is raising money for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation and Motor Neurone Disease Association
Hi there - thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I am taking on 3 running challenges this summer to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation - any donation you could spare, no matter how small, would be very much appreciated.
I'm going to be doing:
Belfast Marathon in under 4 hours - 30th April (Done - 3hrs 55mins)
Run from George Square to Edinburgh Castle in under 12 hours - 16th June (Done - 11hrs 45mins)
Loch Ness 24hr Race, aiming for 100km+ - 26th/27th August (Done - 105km)
About me
The stories of Doddie Weir, Fernando Ricksen, Joost van der Westhuizen and Rob Burrow have really resonated with me. As a young, fit and healthy man with family, the thought of something being able to take your life so brutally is almost inconceivable. Kevin Sinfields recent charity efforts have been incredibly inspiring and I want to do everything I can to support these charities who are battling to improve access to care and funding research for a treatment/cure.
