Our story

On Saturday, 5th April 2025, we will be holding a very special Charity Touch Rugby Tournament at the school. We will be asking players to ‘Pay to Play’ to raise money for MND Charities, supporting the fund-raising work of England Rugby Coach Kevin Sinfield CBE.
Sinfield, a true rugby league legend, has inspired this event, as we look to support his efforts to raise awareness of motor neurone disease (MND) and fund crucial research to combat this debilitating condition. His mission has been deeply shaped by his close friend and former teammate, Rob Burrow CBE, who bravely battled MND until his passing at the age of 41.
In a remarkable feat of endurance and dedication, Sinfield recently completed seven ultra-marathons in seven days, a challenge inspired by Burrow’s iconic number seven jersey, and in keeping with this powerful symbolism, our tournament will incorporate the number seven into its format and fundraising goals.
Addiitonal donations from players/parents/supporters are welceom via this page.
