Our story
Hi everyone – we’re Tim, Luke, and Willie, three mates about to do something slightly ridiculous: cycling across Sardinia this September to raise money for the amazing Jason Robinson Foundation.
Between us, we’ve set a target of £7,500 (£2,500 each). Every penny goes towards supporting children and young people facing barriers in life—helping them build confidence, resilience, and opportunities through mentoring, training, and life skills programmes.
The Challenge 🚴♂️
Here’s the plan (gulp):
- 13th September – Day 1: Porto Conte → Oristano. 120km / 1580m elevation
- 14th September – Day 2: Oristano → Carbonia, 145km / 2150m elevation
- 15th September – Day 3: Carbonia → Forte Village, 100km / 950m elevation (it’s Luke’s birthday so they’ve given us an easier day!!)
It sounds straightforward enough… until you hear about us.
The Riders 🤦♂️
- Tim – Body says “retirement” but brain says “why not?” Every muscle groans already, and we haven’t even set off.
- Luke – New to road cycling and only recently braved clip-in shoes… the learning curve is steep, and the falls are real.
- Willie – Small problem: he still hasn’t bought a bike. Yes, really.
Why We’re Doing It ❤️
We know this sounds daft, but the cause is real and important. The Jason Robinson Foundation helps young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to dare to try, and that’s exactly what we’re doing—daring to try something outside our comfort zones (VERY far outside).
How You Can Help 🙏
Please support us—whether that’s a donation, words of encouragement, or just laughing at our wobbly cycling updates.
But of course – we mean mainly with big healthy chunky, generous donations!
Together, we can make a huge difference for young people who deserve every chance in life.
Thanks so much,
Tim, Luke & Willie
